TRUBAČ – Advertising and Information Monthly of the Region Overlooked by Trúba
Dear, (regular and chance) readers of Trubač!
Some time ago we found out that the picturesque little town of Štramberk, our “Moravian Bethlehem”, needs to have its TRUBAČ (horn-blower). In the actual Bethlehem of the Old Testament the horn-blower used to have a supreme and topical role. The sound of the ram’s or goat’s horn reverberated throughout the country before each important declaration.
Our TRUBAČ also intends to – with a dignified solemnity and diligence (as once also horn-blowers in the Czech and Moravian lands used to do) – call attention to extraordinary personalities and famous or mysterious places of our region as well as its spirit.
Since 1st February 2006 the printed pages of the Trubač monthly bring you (among other things) also a topical survey of cultural and social events as well as business opportunities in the whole region of the Beskydy foothills. However, the subject of its greatest interest remains to be Štramberk (the home town of our editors as well as the yeast beer Trubač!) and its closest surroundings.
The virtual form of TRUBAČ gives the opportunity to visit our “region overlooked by Trúba” to all of YOU, wherever you happen to be. If you join us and enter the Moravian Gate we will ceremoniously blow a horn for you…
