Wallachian Brewery in Kozlovice
The Kozlovice Brewery is located in the original farm buildings of an old bailiwick. The gable of the main building bears the year 1822. The brewery holds a special position, magic, and uniqueness that make it stand apart from other small brewpubs. The interior features original ceiling brick vaults, and stone and wooden elements. The enterprise uses open stainless fermenting vats and space cooling, which provides a better control of the fermenting process and beer maturation. The brewer is thus able to carefully and visually assess a great number of production indicators. The beer offered to consumers may be rather cloudy but that is because it contains a lot of nutritious and healthy substances.
The stone brew restaurant, which can seat up to 80 people, is decorated with a collection of historical beer mugs and emits the atmosphere of the first Czechoslovak Republic. The walls are covered with original stocks, period beer labels of the most important Czech breweries, and certificates of apprenticeship in brewing dating back to the 18th century. And so the guild of brewers watches over the quality of the local yeast beer…
The ceremonial hall on the first floor of the brewery is both an interesting and rare attraction. Depending on the demand and requirements the Mayor of Kozlovice conducts wedding ceremonies here.
The restaurant staff wearing clothes based on the local folk traditions offer traditional Bohemian and Moravian cuisine. Among others, you may try here goat cheese of several combinations and flavors, made by a certified producer from Moravia. It is up to you what you wish to wash down your specialty with. The most popular are the local yeast non-filtered lagers of the Pilsner type – the light Wallachian Voivode and the dark Kozlovice Bailiff.
Together with the Štramberk brewery, the Kozlovice brewery is managed by the marketing brand Relax in the Beskydy Foothills. Both breweries also have their professional guarantor – the company Pivo Praha s.r.o., which was founded in 1991 by experts with more than a 20-year-long experience in the field.
