The genius loci of the birthplace of Leoš Janáček
The Hukvaldy Gallery is located in the house of birth of Leoš Janáček (house no. 40). This gallery often displays works of artists who have been inspired by Janáček’s music or by the beautiful view of the surroundings from the Hukvaldy castle. The exhibiting authors include contemporary artists who display their works also in the related Gallery of Ostrava and the Gallery in the Villa in Kopřivnice. It may be said that the Hukvaldy Gallery contributes to the genius loci of the birthplace of Leoš Janáček and helps disseminate inspiration as the master himself would have wished…
